FAQ for Candidates
The dental world is a small place, and we know this.
The most significant value we can offer you as a candidate is confidentiality. The only people who will know you are looking for a new role when working with us will be – you, us, and the clients that you have agreed for me to inform of your interest.
Our experience and contacts are best suited to all general practice team members, e.g. dentists, hygienists, therapists, nurses and all support staff levels.
Yes, our clients require locum support often. Please speak to us about your options. We have created a list of compliance that are needed in downloads.
Locum contractors will be paid directly by the client. Regular invoices will be sent to the client directly at the pre-agreed rates. You will be paid directly to your bank. Our free invoice template is HERE for you.
Our client’s highest need is GDC registered dentists and nurses, ideally with NHS experience. All candidates must have ‘proof of right to work in the UK.’
Once we find a position that you like the sound of, we will contact our client on your behalf and express your interest. We then secure you an interview, negotiate any offers of employment and then agree on new employment terms. We will support you from start to finish.
Firstly, we will send you brief details via SMS/Email. Secondly, we will speak at a time that works for you. Or you may see one of our adverts online so you can call us anytime.
We feel it’s always best to widen the search to select the best fit for you. However, when you have a target practice in mind, you can also do this with us.
This can vary from client to client. Usually, you can expect a 15-minute informal telephone chat with the PM about the role and your interest. Second stage face to face at the practice, often including a tour. The offer stage can be in person or verbally over the phone.
It’s not easy to secure an interview, and therefore it’s essential to take some time to prepare yourself. Check out articles of support on interviewing in our BLOG.
We have seen thousands of dentist CVs and will offer free advice to all that need it. We have created a free template sample available in downloads.
Your reference contacts will only be reached with your prior permission. Usually, this happens once you have accepted an offer from a client. Giving you time to forwarn them of the call.
Once you receive an employment offer, we can be asked by the client to forward your compliance documents. These can include – GDC, PCT, E-PIN numbers, proof of indemnity insurance, DBS(CRB), and immunisations.
It is illegal for recruitment agencies to charge candidates in the UK. We charge the end client once we make a placement of a candidate. It is 100% free to you, the candidate.
Dental staff are often registered with numerous agents, increasing your options. In this case, you must inform us if you have been approached about a role. Clients can be double charged. When disputes like this are not sorted out, clients often decide not to offer the candidate. This way, the candidate loses out.
At any point, you can ask us to stop contacting you about options. Your details will be stored for future reference. Alternatively, this is available on request if you wish to have your details deleted.
